Sanford

Taking Bids on Ladder Truck

The City of Sanford Maine will receive sealed bids from interested parties who wish to bid on the following item of surplus equipment which the Sanford Fire Department has to offer:

(1)One 1988 E-One Hurricane 110' Ladder Truck. This truck is built on a tandem rear wheel drive E-One Hurricane 5 person enclosed cab chassis. It has a, 8v-92TA Detroit diesel engine, approximately 29,100 miles, 2331 hours, aluminum aerial truck style body.

This vehicle is being replaced with a new vehicle within the department. Vehicle has always been maintained to date and passed most recent DOT and ladder certification safety inspection. Vehicle is in very good condition for the year and is being sold "as is with no warranty".

Vehicle may be seen at Sanford Fire Department South Station 1841 Main St., Sanford ME. By appointment.

All bids must be sealed and delivered to the Fire Chief's office at 972 Main St. Sanford, ME 04073 no later than November 16, 2018 at 1pm.

All bidders shall mark the envelope with the item description on it to reflect which item is being sought. The City of Sanford reserves the right to accept or reject any bid based on what is best for the City of Sanford. Upon award and cleared proper payment to the city, the successful bidder shall have (2) two weeks to remove the property from city storage unless alternative arrangements are made and accepted by the city. Payment in full will be coordinated through the City financial offices.

This vehicle will be available on approximately November 19, 2018.
